Description
The BRG10-67 conical reduction cabinet transforms a rotating movement into a push-pull movement. The reduction cabinet is always close to the Roerkoning. Via a draglink with rosette connections, the tension pushing movement is transferred to the drawbar lever and stirring axle. The BRG10-67 has a gear reduction of 6.7: 1. This results in 2,4 revolutions of the input axis for a corresponding rudder result of 72 degrees. This can be increased by steps of 1.2: 1 by using shell cabinets with a step ratio (2.9 revolutions with one step ratio and 3.6 revolutions with shoveling cabinets with two step ratio). The centers of the export lever are 130 mm to a corresponding central points of 200 mm from the handlebar lever. This difference in length results in the so -called "wide -angle geometry". Click here for a more extensive explanation.
The maximum input couple is 40.5 kgfm, resulting in a maximum stirring couple of 760 kgfm. The maximum Roerkoppel according to the CE classification is 278 KGFM Midscheeps and 506 KGFM full of rudder (the CE regulations apply a safety factor of 150%). This makes the gearbox suitable for boats from 45 'to around 60'. With the exception of the onto axle and the gears, the complete gearbox is made of solid aluminum 6082 for maximum strength and minimum weight. Two gearbox stops with multiple positions are mounted on top of the gearbox. These attacks are primarily intended to protect the gearbox and the steering system and not as a rudder attack. When these attacks are used as a stir -stop, one must realize that the draglink and tie stick remain unprotected. The correct positioning of the reduction cabinet on the Roerkoning is very important to make the wide -angle geometry function correctly.
